The story of Nook Josefine
Old bricks, new story.
We're building a quiet place to stay in Vienna's 8th district: 15 private rooms, no dorms, and a lot of care for the small things.
Why nook.
Calm, well made, fairly priced.
Vienna has plenty of big hotels and plenty of loud hostels. What it's short of are calm, well-designed places to sleep that don't cost a fortune. That's the gap we want to fill.
A nook is a small, quiet corner of your own. That's the whole idea: your own room, your own door, good sleep — and shared spaces when you feel like company.
The build
From raw rooms to nook.
Old bricks
We kept the old vaulted brick ceilings and the character of the house.
Terrazzo
Terrazzo tiles in the bathrooms — durable, colourful and a little bit fun.
New stairs
A new staircase connects the ground floor and the upper floor.
Opening
Fifteen private rooms, opening in November 2026.
